As a community rowing program, SRA does not require a yearly membership
in order for you to participate in our Youth
and Adult classes. But what
if you want to row or erg outside of your classes? Our membership program
gives you the freedom to take out sculling boats and use the ergs and weight
equipment whenever it fits your schedule. Please see Policies
and Rules for more information regarding boat usage, etc. Click here
for a printable SRA Handbook.
SRA Membership Benefits:
Unlimited use of club singles, doubles, and exercise equipment
Priority over sweep classes for singles and doubles reservations
15% discount on regular class fees
Ability to register for special “members only” programs,
such as Advanced Sculling classes.
SRA Membership Requirements:
In order to independently row at SRA, you must meet the following
requirements:
A completed SRA Registration packet for the current calendar year,
including float test (good for five years.)
All members must have taken at least two beginning-level sculling
courses, one of which included a flip test.
All new members must complete a formal sculling checkout at the
SRA boathouse before permanent sculling cards are issued. Checkout dates
are available online. Temporary cards will be available to new members
between sculling checkout dates.
All memberships expire on the last day of the current year. Memberships
must be renewed in January to avoid a lapse.
New!! Sculling Punchcards: Members who need some flexibility in taking a class now have
the option of purchasing a punchcard. Punchcards will allow you to pre-purchase
a set number of classes, allowing you the flexibility of attending sculling
classes at your convenience. Click here
for more information.
